Margaret (Maggie) Schettler, 86, of Sarasota, FL died in peace at Springwood Rehab & Nursing Center on September 22, 2011. Services will be private.
Maggie was born in Shippenville, PA on March 31, 1925. She married James Lon Carll on July 17, 1947 and had six children. Maggie is survived by Katherine Lee Carll, Andrew & Lynn Carll,Lon Paul Carll, Michael & Maureen Carll, Anna Marie Carll, eight grandchildren & three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by Gregory William Carll.
Maggie loved life and enjoyed people. She leaves an incredible legacy of love and compasion both with family and teaching. Her nursing career started with Sarasota Memorial Hospital and ended with teaching at Sarasota County Technical Institute. Maggie was a profound mentor to both her family and
her students leaving behind a legacy of love that will stand the test of time.
