Anthony Franklin Page, 63, of St Petersburg, Florida, passed away on September 14, 2021 in Ft Myers, Florida. The visitation was held on September 18, 2021 at Gendron Funeral Home. Memorial services to be announced. Arrangements will be handled by Lee Flight, Air Methods, and Lee County EMS. Tony was born in Hampton Virginia to Harold & Elizabeth (Winbourne) Page on April 26, 1958. He spent many childhood summers with extended family in Wilson, North Carolina. Tony attended school in Hampton, graduating from Kecoughtan High school. Shortly thereafter, he enlisted in the Army, serving four years as a Helicopter Pilot. Tony transitioned into civilian life beginning his career as an EMS pilot for Rocky Mountain Helicopters. He continued to work as an EMS pilot for Air Methods for greater than thirty years. Tony was awarded an Air Safety accommodation for 2000 hours of flying without incident or accident. He met his fiancée Cheryl O’Neil Gardner in July of 2005 while acting as Lead Pilot for Nicklaus Children’s Hospital (formerly Miami Children’s) in Miami Florida. Together they raised her four daughters, Lauren O’Neil Loder, Courtney O’Neil Roark, Aubrie Gardner, and Taylor Gardner. He enjoyed offshore fishing, sailing, and traveling outside the US. He also enjoyed spending time with their grandchildren Kaxenya Loder, Zaklina Loder, and Odin Roark. Tony was preceded in death by his Grandparents Elmer & Linda (Crumpler) Page, James & Dillie Mae (Williams) Winbourne. Parents Harold & Elizabeth (Winbourne) Page. Aunts and Uncles Margie & Hm Tanner, Lois Ramey, Sonny Boy Page, Jean & Murray Evans, Patricia Kerman, Jean Page, Donnie Page, Bill & Mildred Williams, Bobby & Barbara Winbourne, James Winbourne, Willie Winbourne, and Doug Miller. Cousins Pam Ramey, Steven Winbourne, and Missy Newman. Tony is survived by his sister and brother-in-law Debbi & Ray Murray. Nephews Ray and Cody Murray. Aunts and Uncles Horace Kerman, Gloria Page, Ray & Julia Page, Phil & Diane Page, Bill & Kathy Page, Clyde & Patsy Page, Dennis & Sallie Page, Zelma Winbourne, Sandra Winbourne, Doris Miller, and Betty & Cecil Baker. Cousins Ernie Lee, Cathy, Linda, Carrol, Jackie, Tonya, Penny, Jimmy, Johnny, Donna, Julie, Jason, Misty, Kelvin, Scott, Keith, Gwen, Paula, Chris, Joe, Carol, Ronnie, Cindy, Pam, Lisa, Cliff, Tammy, James Lee, Wendy, Tami, Debbie, Jimmy, Sheri, John and Valerie. Memorial donations may be given to the Code Green Campaign and/or Responder Rescue, both support first responders in times of need.
