MARGARET (?PEG?) DUVALL Margaret (?Peg?) A. DuVall, 76 of Algonac, MI and part-year resident of Port Charlotte, FL earned her wings on December 21, 2010 in time for the birth celebration of the child Jesus. She was born January 7, 1934 in Pontiac, MI, the daughter of James and Margaret Teal. She was married to and survived by her husband of 35 years, James (Papa Jim) DuVall. She started her career as an accomplished soldering technician at RCA near West Palm Beach Florida working with printed circuit boards on radios and televisions. Later, she became quite proficient in the manufacture of micro-circuits for the M-1 Abrams Tank built by General Dynamics in Michigan. Having worked on tanks gave new meaning for us kids to proudly boast (tongue in cheek), ?Hey, my Mom builds tanks! What does your Mom do?? She enjoyed life to the fullest, she was particularly fond of boating and being around water, and yet she enjoyed the simple pleasures of bird and animal watching. Yes, and hunting sea shells, walking on the beach, feeling the sun on her face, or tipping a glass of wine in the crow?s nest with her husband in the evening while on a cruise. She was a loving and caring person who thought nothing of ensuring the needs of others were met before hers. She loved her country and those who served it, she encouraged us all in times when the roads appeared too rough to travel, and was quick to offer her advice and moral support. Not too much though, for it?s in the struggle that one learns to be self-sufficient. She will be sorely missed but we can all take solace in the fact that our lives have been made even more rich having known her, been loved by her, and for the ?twinkle? in her eyes and in her laughter. Live, Love, & Laugh; that?s our Peg, our Mom; celebrating life so that we too, could celebrate with her? even if only in her lasting and loving memory. In addition to her husband James, she was survived by her four children; Steven and wife, Shirley of Fairfield, CA; twins Dawn of Houston, TX and Deborah of Rochester, MI, and Doreen and husband Ron of Cape Coral, FL.; her two step-daughters Teri of Bad Axe, MI and Denise of Milford, MI; 7 grandchildren, Michele, Greg, Angela, Scott, Beverly, Arien, and Ashley; 10 great-grandchildren, Brent, Jared, Joel, Justin, Grace, Mia, Samantha, Gabe, Brady, and Shelby; 1 great-great-grandson Collin; and her beloved dog Gidget Sue. A celebration of Peg?s life will be on Monday December 27; beginning at 6 pm with Service beginning at 7 pm at Gendron Funeral & Cremation Services Inc. Please, in lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials may be made to Hope Hospice or to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. She told Mom how grateful she was that she instilled in me, the virtues Lee Ann sings about on this title track.
