Veronica Robertson

Veronica (Roni) Lee Robertson, of Cape Coral, Florida passed away suddenly on October 10, 2011 at Cape Coral Hospital. Roni was born August 18, 1971 in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of Wiley and Genevieve (Siska) Brock. Roni grew up in Toledo and Grand Rapids, Ohio. She was a 1989 graduate of Otsego High School where she was involved in many extracurricular activities, including swing choir, theater, and volleyball. Roni attended Bowling Green State University majoring in psychology, where she was a charter member of their Sigma Kappa sorority. She then received her paramedic training at the Medical College of Ohio. She was currently pursuing another degree in math education at Florida Gulf Coast University. Roni worked several years in the medical field, mostly as a Paramedic both in Ohio and Florida. Most recently, Roni was a paramedic and a field training officer for Lee County EMS. Roni is credited with touching the lives of thousands of patients in their time of need during her career. There is undoubtedly many fortunate people alive today because of her care. She was also known for her vast knowledge of obscure medical facts and was an enormous influence on those that learned from her. Roni's beautiful twin boys, want people to know that she was the one that understood them the most. She let them get away with a lot of things and would always do fun stuff with them but also took very good care of them. She was a loving, energetic, creative, decisive, and beautiful woman and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She leaves to cherish her loving memory, her husband Bill; her sons Christopher and Ethan; parents Wiley and Genevieve Brock; brother Graig (Pam) Brock, mother and father in law William and Debra Robertson, Brother in law Michael Robertson, nieces Kylee Brock, Olivia Robertson and Erin Young, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, and her very best friends Julie Jenkins, Melissa Demoline, Erin Kaiser, Maria Ward, and many, many others. A Memorial Service will be held for Roni on Sunday, October 23rd at Otsego High School, Tontogany, OH. The Memorial Service will start at 3:00 pm in the Auditorium. Veronica's family will be available to receive condolences beginning at 2:00pm and also following the service.
