Arlen Theodore Myerson

February 21, 2002 - April 6, 2022

Arlen Theodore Myerson An empathetic, authentic, free-spirited, inspiring, brilliant man. Wise beyond his years, Arlen was an old soul. He overcame a great deal of adversity in his short time on earth. He was immensely brave, rising above every challenge presented to him. Arlen possessed a great deal of inner strength, and a great deal of physical strength as well, keeping up with a dedicated fitness regimen. He spent a lot of time at his local and neighborhood gyms and was proficient in mixed martial arts. He was a gentle soul, always there to support his friends and family, providing grounded and sound counsel. He was very artistic and enjoyed sitting in nature, and would often go to parks alone to reflect. Arlen was passionate about theology and psychology, and discussed possibly opening a shamanic business to help people with their spiritual journeys at the intersection of those topics. He had a prodigious interest in magical rituals and a conglomeration of spiritual practices, and a legacy of knowledge has fallen with him. He was an avid independent learner, taking collegiate courses online in his spare time, though he didn’t care much for the traditional school system, and felt equal or greater knowledge could be obtained outside the walls of a standard educational institution through life itself. He had recently completed his GED and was considering taking university classes to get started on a degree in psychology, a couple classes at a time. He was incredibly responsible, motivated towards financial success working seven days a week, balancing a position at Target and enjoying his carpentry apprenticeship. He said that he loved tearing things down and building them anew, so working with carpentry was a satisfying endeavor. He had always wanted to go to trade school, loved his apprenticeship and was excited to pursue that as a full time career. Recently, he had received a job offer to be a server at a friend’s restaurant. Arlen had hoped to one day move to North Carolina, Germany, or Austria, was learning German, and even taught his cat children (Mania and Lucifer) to only respond to commands in German. He was very proud of his recently purchased bike, Freyja, and died doing something he loved, riding his motorcycle. An amazing brother, son, partner, friend, and cat parent, he was beloved by all, and his beautiful soul will be missed dearly by all who knew him in his adventures on this physical plane, though he is still with us in spirit. He is surely excited to embark on the spiritual journeys ahead of him, and would tell us this is just a new beginning. Arlen’s “Celebration of Life” ceremony will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Fort Myers at Bell Tower Shops on Saturday April 30, 2022 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. All are invited to celebrate the life of this man who touched so many lives in such a short period of time.
