Mary Margaret Hennessy Fogarty, 82, of Fort Myers, FL, went on to her heavenly reward on June 10, 2022. Mary was born September 21,1939 in New York City to Michael and Deborah (Murphy) Hennessy. Who predecessor her. Mary’s sister, Sr. Kay Hennessy, MSC, also predeceased her. In 1957, She graduated from Blessed Sacrament H.S. in New York City. She married Dennis Fogarty in 1962. Over the course of their 60 years of marriage, they enjoyed raising their three children and welcoming five grandchildren into the family. Mary was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her Catholic faith provided her with strength, grace, and peace. Mary liked reading, doing crossword puzzles, playing bridge and traveling the world with her husband and dear friends. Her kindness and easygoing manner will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to Mary’s husband, Dennis, she is survived by her daughters Deborah Barbachem (David) and Denise Fogarty; her son, Stevan (Kerry); granddaughter, Brianna Barbachem; grandsons, Caleb Barbachem, Shane, Kyle, and Quinn Fogarty. Also surviving Mary are her sister, Helen (Hennessy) Byrne and brother Michael Hennessy; as well as several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Columbkille Catholic Church 12171 Iona Rd, Fort Myers, FL, on July 8, 2022 at 11:00am.
