Randall Eugene Cunningham

Randall “Randy” Eugene Cunningham passed away March 11, 2018 in Lehigh Acres, Florida at the age of 60. Randy was born July 29th, 1957 in Sharon, Pennsylvania to Robert and Benita Cunningham. He graduated from North Central High School, Indianapolis, Indiana in 1975. After high school Randy joined the United States Airforce in 1976 to kick some asses. On June 30, 1978 he married the former Orlanda Oliver in Tampa, Florida. Randy was employed as a Production Print Technical Engineer, having to fix the problems that others couldn’t. He enjoyed working and only recently retired. Some of his passions included boating, fishing and motorsports and especially cherished riding motorcycles. But, at the end of the day family was always the center of his life. Randy also loved watching sports and passed that passion onto his kids. We have all been known as a family to yell and scream at the TV and always accuse the referees of being paid off. He was always a Tampa bay Buccaneers fan which meant at most times watching the games were tough but I think his family screaming with him helped through all of the losses. Racing was another sport he loved to watch and being an Earnhardt fan winning, for him, was far more common. He also loved some more calming things like astrology and playing botanist growing all sorts of things, his favorite being orchids. Above all things he lived life to the fullest and always took care of the ones closest to him. Randy is survived by his father, Robert Deltin Cunningham, and his mother Benita Ann Cunningham of Fort Meade, FL, his wife Orlanda Oliver Cunningham of Lehigh Acres, FL, daughter Johnnie Sabrina Oliver of Lehigh Acres, FL, two sons Sean Phillip Cunningham and wife Erica Bassett Cunningham of Lehigh Acres, FL, Cory Deltin Cunningham and wife Siena Reiff Cunningham of Lehigh Acres, FL, grandson Tyler-James Cunningham of Lehigh Acres, FL, sister Terri Lynn Peterson and husband Eric Peterson of Indianapolis, IN, two nieces Mellissa Peterson Wenn and husband Chad Wenn of Tucson, AZ, Ashley Peterson Biehl, and husband Daniel Biehl, of Indianapolis, IN, and great nephew Deltin Matthew Biehl of Indianapolis, IN. A celebration of life service will be held from 12:00pm-3:00pm on Saturday, March 24 at Gendron Funeral Services: 2701 Lee Blvd, Lehigh Acres FL, 33971. Randy Cunningham will also receive an honorable sendoff at Sarasota National Cemetery in honor of his service in the United States Air Force. The sendoff will be held at a later date following the spreading of his ashes out at sea, where he loved to be.
