103 Años, que vida mas maravillosa debe haber vivido!! Haber vivido 103 años es testimonio que María vivió una vida con mas risas que lagrimas, con mas mas altas que bajas y con mas sonrisas que tristezas. María Aurelia Martines Román, viuda de Francisco Morales, mejor conocida como Abuelita, nació un 25 de Diciembre de 1912 en Palmia de Colon, Provincia Matanza, Cuba. Sus padres Antonio Martines y Inés Román. Juntos tuvieron 2 hijos Avelindo y Claro (titi) y 3 hijas, Nelida, Fara (nena) y Caridad. María dichosamente llego a poder ver a la mayoría de sus 17 nietos, y 34 bisnietos. Al enviudar, abuelita se mudo a los Estados Unidos en 1983 y se mudo con su hija Caridad. Después vivió con su hijo Avelino (ya fallecido) y luego regreso a vivir con Caridad. Toda la familia ayudo con el cuidado de abuelita. A ella le encantaba visitar a la familia y las amistades. Sus aficiones eran coser, sembrar matas en el patio, hacer recuerdos de tejidos y le gustaba mucho tomar su siesta largas por el medio día. Abuelita fue una mujer con una fortaleza increíble, independiente y trabajadora. No importa que situación se le presenta, ella los afrontaba con mucha calma y positivista. Siempre te recordaremos con tu sonrisas y el amor que siempre tuviste por tu familia. Te queremos mucho y seras siempre inolvidable en nuestros corazones. Algún día en el futuro nos vamos a reunir contigo y con el Señor en el cielo. María Aurelia Martines Román, widow of Francisco Morales, better known as Abuelita, was born on December 25, 1912 in Colon, Cuba. Her parents were Antonio Martinez and Inés Román. Together they had 2 sons Avelindo and Claro (titi) and 3 daughters, Nélida, Fara (Nena), and Caridad. Maria happily got to see 17 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren. As a widow, Abuelita moved to the United States in 1983 and moved with her daughter Caridad. Then she lived with her son (now deceased) Avelino and then return to living with Caridad. The family helped with the care of Abuelita. She Loved to visit family and friends. Her hobbies were sewing, planting shrubs in the yard, knitting and she very much liked her nap in the middle of the day. Abuelita was a woman who was incredible, independent and hard-working. Whenever a situation arose, she would face the situation with calmness and positive. Always she is remembered with her smiles and the love she always had for her family. We love you very much and always unforgettable will be in our hearts. Someday in the future we will meet with you and with the Lord in heaven. We love you much
