TOM G. RUSSELL Thomas Glen Russell, 61, of Fort Myers, Florida passed away June 7, 2013. He was born June 16, 1951 in Kansas City, Missouri the son of Earl Eugene and Maxine (Bean) Russell. Resident of Fort Myers for 53 years - 1969 Graduate of Fort Myers High School Cabinet Designer and Owner of Tiger Residential Designs. Designed and sold cabinetry for many local cabinet companies as well as for his Amish friends at Hilltop Wood Working in Fredericksburg, Ohio. Co-owned and managed Russell Cabinets of Fort Myers along with his brother Larry Russell for 23 years. Current Life Group Teacher and former Director of the Divorce Care Ministry serving 14 years at McGregor Baptist Church, Fort Myers. Recently attended HOPE Biblical Counseling & Training Center and was looking forward to finishing his last course for certification to become a Biblical Counselor this semester. His desire was to help struggling married couples and show them "Marriage God's Way". Loved golfing, fishing, playing and coaching Little League Baseball, devoted fan of Kansas City Chiefs Football, sports cars, seafood, traveling, glass art, his devoted puppy "KC", Smokey Mountains, sunsets, talking about Jesus Christ and how He had changed his life, reading his Bible, teaching and helping others. He leaves his loving wife, Cindy Russell; two children, Joshua (Mindy) Russell and Jason Russell; step-son, Tony (Vivian) Hanstedt; sister, Marilyn (Ken) Karnes, brother, Larry Russell; and grandchildren, Kala Culligan, Caliah Russell, Evan Hanstedt, Andrew Hanstedt and his new grandson, Cooper Thomas Russell due to be born in August who will share his Pa's name. Our sincere appreciation to the wonderful staff of Hope Hospice (Hope Healthcare Services), Florida Cancer Specialists and 21st Century Radiation Oncology who cared for Tom. Special gratitude to our church family for all their love and support. Tom's request was for us to have a "Celebration of his Graduation to Heaven" which we will do on Sunday, June 23rd at 2:00pm at McGregor Baptist Church - Worship Center.
